To reach the apartment from Fiumicino aiport you should take train line FR1 and go out at Termini central railway station. Then take metro line A and go out after one stop at "Vittorio Emanuele". The apartment is just a few meters away from the metro stop.

The apartment is located half the way from the church of S. Maria Maggiore and the Colosseum, a few steps from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. With a nice short walk you can reach the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore.
The Colosseum is at 7/8 miuntes walk.
Useless to say something about the Colosseum, as maybe it's the most famous monument worldwide. Less known, but not less interesting is the nearby church of San Pietro in Vincoli with the Statue of Moses made by Michelangelo Buonarotti.
