The apartment is located in the very city center, at a walking distance from Campo dè Fiori, one of the most fascinating and trendy areas of Rome. The most important monuments and historical sites are within a walking distance: Piazza Farnese, Piazza Navona, Trastevere, Largo di Torre Argentina, the Tiberina island, the Vatican.
To arrive at the apartment from Fiumicino airport take the train line FR1 heading Settebagni and get off after 5 stops in Trastevere. Then take tram number 8 and get off at "Argentina" stop. Finally walk for about 50 meters.

Piazza Campo de' Fiori est située à la fin de Via dei Giubbonari, à l'est du Tibre. C'est un lieu qui a encore conservé une certaine atmosphère moyenâgeuse. Quand en 1440, le pape Eugène IV la fit paver, elle se transforma rapidement en un des plus importants centres citadins. Elle était le théâtre de courses de chevaux et on y trouvait de nombreuses auberges, on y publiait les bulles papales et les communiqués du gouverneur. Mais on y effectuait aussi les exécutions capitales. En effet, ce fut sur cette place qu'en 1660 Giordano Bruno fut brulé vif après avoir été accusé d'hérésie. Nous pouvons encore y admirer sa statue sculptée par Ettore Ferrari en 1889. De plus, depuis 1869, cette place est quotidiennement animée par un Immobilier gai et coloré. |
