The apartment is located in Monteverde, a very quiet area nearby Trastevere. With the tram line number 8 you can easily reach the historical centre. Get off in Largo Argentina and from here many of the most important monuments and historical sites are within a walking distance: Piazza Navona, Campo dè Fiori, the Pantheon.
To arrive at the apartment from Fiumicino airport take the train line FR1 heading Settebagni and get off after 5 stops in Trastevere Station. Then take the tram line number 8 (towards Casaletto)and get off after 4 stops. Finally walk for about 100 meters.

Le nom du quartier de Trastevere prend naissance de l'expression latine "trans Tiberim", soit "au-delà du Tibre". Ce fut la première zone habitée de la rive occidentale du fleuve. Ses armoiries représentent la tête d'un lion sur un fond rouge. C'est un quartier très vaste, uni à la ville par cinq ponts. Ici, l'empereur Auguste fit construire un stadium aquatique pour y jouer des batailles navales.
L'église de S. Maria in Trastevere, consacrée au culte de la Sainte Vierge, est une des plus anciennes de Rome. Les environs sont très riches de lieux très intéressants, de bars et de restaurants très à la mode. |
